UVM Health Network Home Health & Hospice programs rely on the generosity of our community not only for financial support but also for timely in-kind donations, especially for our Hospice and Palliative Care programs, Adult Day program and the McClure Miller Respite House. If you would like to support a program by making an in-kind donation, please consider the items suggested below specific for each program. Thank you.
Wishes Come True at the UVM Health Network Home Health & Hospice
May 2016 — “How much would it cost to purchase everything on your wish list website page?”
This was the question posed to us by a generous donor looking for a meaningful way to honor his father who had died 15 years before. In exploring our UVM Health Network Home Health & Hospice website and learning more about the work we do, the donor and his wife found our page of wish list items for some of our programs like our Adult Day Programs, Hospice program and Vermont Respite House. After the costs were researched and a total estimated amount was given to the donors, they sent a check with a note saying, “Thank you for the work you do to alleviate suffering, fear and loneliness among the most vulnerable population.”
Everything on the wish lists page was purchased. From Kitchen Aid mixers and art supplies for the Adult Day programs to sheets and Vermont maple syrup for the Respite House to baby monitors and gift cards for Hospice, every program happily received their gifts.
We are truly thankful for the generosity of these donors. Their gift has brought smiles to so many as you can see from this photo gallery (click on one of the photos below to open the full gallery of photos):
