Tonya Guyette: ‘I do it for the (Hospice) residents’

As the COVID-19 pandemic set a new daily case-count record in Vermont, Tonya Guyette, Hospice LNA supervisor for McClure Miller Respite House and our Community Hospice team, had to add seven new screeners to her team.

So she often has to jump in on weekends or nights to answer questions.

“I have to be mentally and physically prepared; I’m constantly on call,” Guyette says. “I don’t want to leave my team short staffed. I value the care they provide, and I do it for the residents who need that level of care.”
