The University of Vermont Health Network – Home Health & Hospice Welcomes New Director of Home Health Services

Terry Paquin

Director of Home Health Services Terry Paquin has retired after 36 years at The University of Vermont Health Network – Home Health & Hospice.

“It’s been such a pleasure to work with Terry and we’re going to miss her terribly,” CEO Judy Peterson said. “She has been such a big part of Home Health & Hospice culture.”

“Terry’s influence on the VNA is immeasurable,” Jim Budis, Vice President of Clinical Services, added.

Coworkers, friends and family gathered last week to wish her well in her next chapter of life. They shared fond memories of Terry, touting the positive impact she had on their lives, and noting the many agency initiatives she helped implement along the way.

“It has been such an honor to have worked at the Home Health & Hospice over these many years,” Paquin said. “As I reflect back on my time, I’m reminded of all the great opportunities The University of Vermont Health Network – Home Health & Hospice offered me.”

As we wish her farewell, we are excited to welcome Todd Patterson, the new Director of Home Health Services, to The University of Vermont Health Network – Home Health & Hospice. Patterson comes to Home Health & Hospice from Genesis Rehab Services, where he served as an occupational therapist with varied clinical management experience in home health, hospital, outpatient rehab and nursing home settings.

“I am very excited to join The University of Vermont Health Network – Home Health & Hospice,” Patterson said. “The work that the Home Health Services team is doing to help people live safely and successfully at home inspires me.”

Patterson says he recognizes addressing people’s health needs at home keeps them healthy in the community and out of institutions.

“I have already seen firsthand our team’s innovative efforts to do just that,” Patterson added. “Their compassion is extraordinary and I look forward to continued learning and supporting these efforts in the years ahead.”
