Our Adult Day program is more than a place to go during the day. It is a warm, loving place where friends are with friends.

You, or your loved one, receive comprehensive health, social and therapeutic services that help maintain your current level of activity, promote physical and mental health and help you live in your own home or with family members for a longer period of time.  You’ll also feel a sense of belonging and connection with your community.

COVID considerations

We currently offer Adult Day services in South Burlington. Two additional Adult Day sites, in Colchester and Essex, remain closed, with the possibility of reopening regularly re-evaluated. This approach is intended to ensure the long-term viability of this important and cherished program.

COVID-19 considerations and state guidance currently require Adult Day program participants to maintain physical distancing and masking measures. We are regretfully unable to offer memory care at this time — services are limited to traditional physical care. Participants who previously attended one of our Adult Day programs are currently prioritized for participation. Other factors considered when prioritizing participation include:

  • Vaccination status.
  • Ability to mask, social distance and perform hand hygiene while at the program.
  • A one-person assist or less required.

When to consider Adult Day

The safe and home-like setting of our program is open to elders needing extra assistance or companionship or adults with physical
disabilities.

For family caregivers, you benefit from the valuable respite, support and education we offer. You can choose the schedule that best meets the needs of your loved one or the needs of you as the caregiver. You are able to continue with your lives while ensuring the health and safety of your loved one.

Services and activities

At our program, social and recreational activities are combined with nursing assessments, medication administration, therapeutic services and appropriate levels of exercise. Healthy snacks and hot meals are served, providing 70% of the daily nutritional requirements.

Our program is led by a registered nurse, licensed nurse assistants, activity specialists and dedicated volunteers.

  • Creative movement and drumming
  • Pet therapy
