‘A light back to normalcy at the end of the dark tunnel’
“It’s truly hard to put into words how I am feeling … excited … relieved … grateful,” Nurse Eva Friend said after her first COVID-19 vaccination Tuesday.
“Going in to get the vaccine was stress free. Everyone there was just so happy; it definitely was a more celebratory environment over the doom and gloom environment we’ve seen over the last year.”
“After I got the vaccine, I was monitored for 15 minutes to ensure I didn’t have any type of reaction. No reaction, feeling great,” she reported.
“Getting this vaccine, to me, means I can see a light back to normalcy at the end of the dark tunnel we’ve all been in. I’m not saying we’re out of the woods yet; we still need a good amount of the population to be vaccinated. But I am glad as a nurse I could be a role model by getting the vaccine and encouraging everyone who is able to get it to get it first chance you get.”
