An Important Message for Our Community

In response to the spread of COVID-19, and to ensure the safety of our community, our staff and our volunteers, we have regretfully cancelled this year’s Camp Knock Knock and have temporarily suspended our volunteer program. Please stay well and check back for future opportunities.

We thank you for your support and understanding.

Camp Knock Knock is a weekend bereavement camp for families with children who have experienced the death of a loved one.  It is held one weekend each year in the beginning of June at YMCA’s Camp Abnaki in North Hero, VT, and accepts up to 15 families on a first come, first served basis. This year’s camp HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Volunteers are needed for all aspects of our annual family bereavement camp, including recreational activities, arts and crafts, setup and cleanup, facilitating grief workshops, and assisting with grief workshops.

Mandatory volunteer training takes place every year, approximately one month prior to Camp. The training session includes team building exercises, discussions of essential skills, an overview of the stages of childhood grief and other significant activities.
