Personal Care Attendant Niquette Earns the Spotlight

Congratulations to the latest Employee Spotlight Award recipient, Greg Niquette, Personal Care Attendant in the Long-Term Care department!

“On behalf of the LTC team, I nominated Greg because he is an outstanding caregiver. He brings warmth, patience, dedication, and a great sense of humor to his work with clients and their families,” said Christie Randall, MSW, Manager of LTC. “Greg truly loves what he does and it shows!”

According to Randall, Greg’s caregiving skills are top-notch, and so are his beautiful singing voice, baking skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.

She recalls a certain client experience, among many, in which Greg made a difference. For many years, Greg worked with an LTC and Adult Hi-Tech client. He partnered with countless Home Health & Hospice staff to help provide care for his client. He has demonstrated his immense value as a team player.

“His steady presence brought stability and comfort to the team, the client and the client’s family,” Randall said.

Greg says he is humbled to receive the award. “My greatest joy working here is having the chance to make lasting and meaningful connections with my clients. I truly believe that we are not only in the home to complete a task, but to enrich and better a life in the process,” he said.

A theatre and English graduate of Saint Michael’s College, Greg says his acting experience lends well to his PCA duties. “My training in the arts and humanities are really helpful tools to use when communicating with and caring for the clients we serve,” he said. “Each individual is a unique character study and having the opportunity to work with many types of people in many different settings has made my job fulfilling and rewarding.”

We’d also like to extend congratulations to this month’s honorary mentions: Data Entry Specialist Jennie Steele and Joe Haller, RN, Community Health Nurse in Home Health Services. Thank you all for your hard work!
