Countdown to the New McClure Miller UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice Respite House
We are excited to report that we are less than four months away from the opening of the new McClure Miller UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice Respite House! This is the first in a series of updates to share progress with our community as we transition to our new location. Projected opening for the new space is early September 2016.
We are fortunate to have found a serene and pastoral setting easily accessible to our community with adequate space for the expanded capacity, sufficient parking, and plenty of private outdoor spaces. Families of past residents and Respite House staff provided input to inform the design.
Larger family space – new Great Room
The new Respite House will have larger resident rooms with full baths, more flexible family gathering space, and better organized spaces for clinical staff. While the physical appearance of the building will be different, the compassion, caring, and love will always remain the same.
